That is cool and fresh idea.
You can place a microscope object on a cube and make a description in 3D around it. Students can hold the cube with a microscope next to the real one and read the instructions in AR.

Also the space can be created in a common AR and placed on surface with a real microscope. Then students can combine virtual object with the real one and read the instructions.
