Physics and Activate Cancel each other out?


Today I tried to show students a click to activate with a rocket. Worked fine. But thought it would be fun to turn on physics and have it come back down to earth again. Code wouldnt work. Turned physics off and it worked again

Is it not possible to use both code and physics or was I doing it in the wrong order? Should I have turned on physics before I made the code?




Hi Robert,

once you enabled physics on an object, the normal “move” block doesn’t apply anymore. The movement of the object is now driven by the physics engine which you can control using the physics blocks. Then you need to apply forces in order to make something move.
