Walking with camera into things so that they fall?

This seems like a very basic thing, but I can’t make it work. I want objects with physics to fall or move, when the camera walks in to them, but the things seem static even when collision and physics is on. I don’t want to have to code it. Just that things fall or move like they would in real life when you bump into them.
