My friend is having trouble grouping objects together. What he wants to do is make 2 objects 1 object, so he can move both at once. Thank you! 
You can select two or more objects and group them to make them move as one object.
It’s a very easy function, but why is your friend having trouble with grouping?
by the way, multi selection does not work on tablets. So tablets use the concept of parent/child objects.

Currently, you cannot group objects on iPad.
If you drag and drop one object on top of another object in the object list, it becomes a child item.
Then if you move the parent item, the child items also move together.
This is an alternative to grouping on iPad, but it is very inconvenient.
