How can I raise the pivot point for an orbiting camera?

Can’t move the pivot point for the camera when it’s set to orbit. Surely we’d want to select the location for the camera to orbit, not just 0x,0y,0z.

Hi @Zedd,

Just delete the camera, and move your editor view into the position you want - it will default to Orbit:

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions about this. If this solves your problem, please mark this post as the Solution.

Hi Geoff,
That wasn’t the solution I’m looking for.
I need a camera that’s locked in orbit but it’s focus point needs to be raised.
Here’s the CoSpace that I’m working on: CoSpaces Edu :: Bikini Bottom Jenga

It’s not currently possible to raise the pivot point when in Orbit mode, but you can move it on the X/Y and change the radius of the orbit.

If you’d like to suggest having the ability to raise the pivot point as a feature request, please add some more details around the benefits you think this would have for the platform - this will help the dev team prioritise your request.

Many thanks,
